Main Vaapas Aaunga Movie Plot
The story begins with 95-year-old Ishar Singh Grewal, who is seriously ill after suffering a stroke. Living with advanced dementia, he spends his final days repeatedly talking about his old home in Sargodha, now in Pakistan. His grandson Nirvair, who takes care of him, tries to understand the meaning behind his grandfather's broken memories.
The film then moves back to 1947, before the Partition of India. A young Ishar falls deeply in love with Jia (Afsana). However, the violence and chaos of Partition tear them apart. Ishar and the men in his family are forced to migrate to India, while Jia and the women of the family remain behind in Pakistan. The lovers are separated before they can reunite.
Wanting to fulfill his grandfather's last wish, Nirvair begins searching for Jia's family. During his journey, he learns the heartbreaking truth that Jia passed away ten years earlier after spending her entire life waiting for Ishar to return as he had promised.
In the emotional ending, Ishar imagines seeing a young Jia during a video call. He gently asks her if she will allow him to leave this world. Jia smiles and gives him her blessing, helping Ishar find peace before he takes his final breath.
