Bad Newz Movie Plot
Saloni Bagga is a talented chef whose biggest dream is to earn a prestigious Meraki Star for her restaurant. She falls in love with Akhil Chadha, and the two quickly get married. However, their relationship soon faces constant misunderstandings and conflicts. During this difficult period, Saloni's restaurant loses its chance to win a Meraki Star, and she is dismissed from her job. Unable to save their marriage, Saloni and Akhil decide to divorce.
Wanting a fresh start, Saloni moves to Mussoorie and begins working at a restaurant owned by Gurbir Singh Pannu. One night, after drinking too much, she shares an unexpected intimate moment with Gurbir. On the same night, Akhil arrives hoping to reconcile with her, and they also spend the night together.
A few weeks later, Saloni discovers that she is pregnant. A medical test reveals that she is expecting twins. The doctors then make a shocking discovery: due to an extremely rare condition called heteropaternal superfecundation, each twin has a different biological father. One baby belongs to Akhil, while the other belongs to Gurbir.
Saloni decides to keep both babies, leading to a series of emotional and humorous situations as Akhil and Gurbir compete to prove who would be the better partner and father. As the pressure grows, Saloni collapses from stress and is taken to the hospital. Doctors reveal that one baby is developing normally, while the other is not growing properly. They recommend an early delivery, even though it carries serious risks for both babies.
Akhil chooses to put the babies' lives first and agrees to the premature delivery, giving both children the best chance of survival. Thankfully, Saloni gives birth to two healthy baby girls and recovers safely. When she learns about Akhil's selfless decision, she realises how deeply he still cares for her.
Later, Saloni's restaurant finally earns the prestigious Meraki Star. Gurbir reunites with his former girlfriend, Sejal, while Saloni and Akhil rediscover their love for each other. Saloni asks Akhil to marry her again, and he happily accepts.
The story ends with actress Ananya Panday deciding to portray Saloni in a film based on the unusual and unforgettable events of her life.
