Mithun Chakraborty was born on June 16, 1950 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Mithun Chakraborty is an Indian actor, producer and politician who predominantly worked in Hindi and Bengali language films. He is also a singer, producer, writer, social worker, entrepreneur. Mithun Chakraborty made his acting debut with the art house drama Mrigayaa in 1976, for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. Recognized as one of the best "dancing-heroes" in Bollywood, Chakraborty is famous for his "Disco and Desi" fusion-style dancing. The dance form was popular among the masses during the 70s and 80s. Mihun Chakraborty is married to actress Yogeeta Bali in 1979. Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta have four children: three sons named Mimoh, Namashi and Ushmey and an adopted daughter Dishani.
